It’s time for Splunk #conf2017

Splunk .conf 2017 is Splunk’s 8th annual user conference and Aplura staff have been there for every one of them. We get a lot of questions from both first timers and .conf veterans about what they should see and do, so we thought we would go ahead and post some tips here.

Get the conf2017 App!

The .conf 2017 app lets you set your schedule, view maps of the conference venue, as well as other fun games and news on .conf. The app is available for both iOS and Android.

First .conf? Check out the FTR!

The First Time Run (FTR) experience is designed for those new to the Splunk conference and will help you get around, find events, and answer any questions you may have. Look for the folks wearing FTR t-shirts for more information. Like most of the Splunk Community, people are happy to help, so don’t be afraid to ask!

Things to see at conf2017!

There are always a lot of things to see at .conf, like the vendor expo (don’t forget the free schwag), the Community Theater, the Splunk Apps Showcase, and more.

Things to do!

Splunk’s .conf always has a lot of activities, including the Search Party (Tuesday night), booths you can visit to ask experts questions, the Hands-On labs, and events like the Boss of the SOC (BOTS). Some of our consultants will be participating in BOTS this year, so come join the fun.

Of course, there are talks

There are a lot of different talks you can see, but make sure you register for them ahead of time to guarantee you can get in. Don’t miss some of the talks our consultants are presenting:
